AFL Sunraysia will in 2021 launch its own AFL Sunraysia Academy to replace the formerly known Richmond Next Generation Academy Program as a means to further develop the talented players based out of Mildura and surrounding towns.
This year, the Under 14 team will travel to Echuca on Wednesday 7 April 2021 to play a series of matches against AFL Goulburn Murray’s Echuca and Shepparton Academies.
Mildura will play host to the Sunraysia Football Festival in June 2021, with travelling teams from neighbouring regions to make their way up to play a carnival aimed at showcasing the region’s upcoming talent as they press for selection in the Under 15 V/Line Academy Series to be held in September.
